Jay Maisel

I finished a 4 day workshop with the legendary New York photographer Jay Maisel on Sunday. It was fascinating to have the opportunity to hear him speak about his work and his 50+ year career. He's incredibly articulate, charming, the consummate New Yorker and makes for a great teacher. He was very generous and open and I'm still in awe. :) His workshop is called color, light and gesture and was terribly inspiring. I think his words of wisdom will be informing my work for a long time. Here's a few of my favorite images shot this weekend:

Susan and Bill

I had the absolute delight in shooting Susan Zoladz and Bill Phillips' wedding on May 17th, that gloriously sunny spring day. A perfect backdrop for all of their out of town guests. The ceremony was at the historic Blessed Sacrament Church and the intimate reception was at one of my favorite restaurants, the Boat Street Kitchen. It was all soo charming! Here are a few of my favorite shots.

cash riley

I can't help myself. Here's a favorite recent photo of my now 18 month old (!!!) little man. I love this shot because he's still in his jammies after a nap and he's actually just chilling out...for at least a split second :)
